ABOUT

Moisture Associated Skin Damage (MASD) remains a significant challenge across acute, community, oncology and specialist wound care settings. Despite the availability of high quality best practice guidance, including the recent MASD consensus statement, implementation in everyday practice is inconsistent.
MASD is often misunderstood as being incontinence‑associated dermatitis (IAD). This narrow interpretation means clinicians managing leg ulcers, lymphoedema, oncology wounds, surgical complications and high exudate wounds may not recognise the relevance of MASD guidance to their practice.

This webinar brings together a GP, Tissue Viability Nurse Consultant and Lymphoedema specialist to explore MASD from different clinical perspectives. Drawing on experience across primary care, complex wound management and specialist services, the speakers will share practical insights into recognising MASD, overcoming implementation challenges and embedding best practice into routine care.

Focusing on real world application, the session will explore how understanding and implementing  MASD guidance can reduce harm, support clinicians and improve patient outcomes across health and social care settings.
